Definition And Techniques Of SEO

A good definition of SEO (search engine optimization) can be said as a highly focused process to make a website successful in rankings. It is progressed because a commercial website that is used by majority of visitors at first sight is successful, otherwise website just laid in search engine index and not appearing in top ranks isn’t doing any good job. The website has the purpose to attract new targeted visitors which, if attracted, in turn becomes benefiting customers. Website is to make people aware of any products or services on Internet, as it is the vast source of marketing. The optimization is done so as to complete the next part of marketing, that is following the strategy and rules of Internet on ranking, its indexing in directories which finally assembles the position of website on search engines. Network Marketing – Are You Choosing Your Prospects Carefully?

Network Marketing – Are You Choosing Your Prospects Carefully?

Multilevel marketing is a people’s game. It is solely dependent on the people that run the show by joining in the network. Everyone that comes in has to move the baton forward; that’s how MLM runs. It all boils down to this – you have to choose your prospects carefully. This is not just so that they go ahead and join your MLM network but also so that they move things ahead by being constructive and expanding their own downlines. Without that, your network is not going to move ahead at all.

Now, if your MLM prospect is not worthy, there are many problems that can happen.
They will not join the network despite your best efforts at convincing them, and that will only lead to frustration in you, even to the point of demoralizing you about the whole idea.
Even if they join the network, they may not be instrumental in expanding it, creating a kind of a block in the way of progress.

Both these things are bad for the MLM business. That is precisely the reason why network marketing professionals speak so much about choosing prospects intelligently so that the network actually moves ahead because of them and so that they do not become liabilities on others who are already in the network.

In fact, this explains why network marketing professionals have begun taking to the Internet so hugely to expand their businesses. There is one great benefit about online promotion – you can make interested people come to you automatically. Take a look at sites like Killer Cash Toolkit. The prospects that you get with your online marketing methods are those that have already mentally bought the idea; you only have to convince them now to physically join into it.

See, when you use something like article marketing to promote your MLM concept, most of the vital information about your concept is already there in the article. Who will read your article anyway? Only people who are looking for a good opportunity like this and have searched on Google or Yahoo! or somewhere will reach there. When your article interests them, then and only then will they click on the URL of your website and visit it. So that means these people are already presold on the idea.

The same applies to people who click on your URL below the blog posts that you make. The best flow of targeted prospects comes from an opt in list that you have them fill out with their email ids in exchange of a free eBook or a free newsletter or something like that. These people are your best prospects. Take a look at IncomeBees as a good example.

Of course, you can get a good prospect base even from seminars that you conduct from time to time, but that is an expensive affair. The best and cheapest prospects for your MLM business always come from your Internet promotional strategies.

The Idea Of Making Money Online

The Idea of Making Money Online
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Christopher_J_Meagher]Christopher J Meagher

work from home can be a wonderful lifestyle. No boss, work when you want and no deadlines. Making money on the internet is unlike anything applied to off-line, or bricks-and-mortar, money making efforts. Having said that, it pays to be aware of the fact that making money online is not going to happen overnight. Even the fastest way to do it, will not happen without a lot of effort on anyone’s part – regardless of what the internet advertising would have you believe.

Interestingly, there are a couple of reasons why people either fail in this business, or, do not take the first step into it to begin with.

Firstly, one must take action.

This is a huge problem for many as unfortunately, due to the over-abundance of advertising leading people to believe otherwise – you will not get rich overnight and quit your day-job tomorrow. Sitting around in your underwear and only doing 20 minutes work each day by pressing a couple of buttons, is certainly achievable – but first you have to learn how it all works. If cut-and-paste is still beyond you, your learning curve is going to be somewhat steep before the money miraculously starts flooding the bank account.

Secondly, human nature cannot be dismissed in this cause to failure, as the majority of people will be wanting the easy way out, if not have everything done for them – believe me, this will not happen. Because you are your own boss and there is no clock to watch, there can be a tendency to become easily distracted. Then again there is the opposite – if the desire to succeed online is strong, it is easy to work around the clock, which can cause problems on the home front, also there is the effect on one’s health.

Having said all that, be assured, it is possible to make a more than decent living online, but it must be treated as a business – this is no hobby if you want to make money online.

Telecommuting or working online from home has become more popular of recent years, and is no longer the sole domain of geeks.

There are new stay at home jobs for moms coming online every other day, and now there are now tools available that automate a lot of the processes that used to be quite tedious and time consuming, making life easier for anyone, anywhere to start a home business and begin making money online.

Making a living online working from home, is still basically the same as making money through traditional methods as, you are providing something of use to others, and you get compensated for what you provide. Remembering you need to provide something of value so you establish a long-term relationship with your customers, which are – everybody else on the internet. Providing something of value is in fact a necessity, when you consider the competition. We are not talking about just competing shop owners in one town, or even city – we are looking at the rest of the entire internet business world. Millions of competing websites and businesses.

So, how do we offer something of value in order to get more than our fair share of traffic to our offers? Well, this can be information, on any subject. The trick is to research the subject, or get someone else to do the research, and offer up to date, relevant information, not some fluff or nonsense – the internet is already overflowing with garbage. There is an entire other world on the internet offering purely information, this is information marketing, where for a price you can acquire relevant information on any subject, with the rights to re-sell it to your prospective customers. This information can come in the form of downloadable books and ezines, videos and software, the list is endless and limited only to the imagination.

Offering people valuable information, or usable information, is what will have them returning as repeat customers.

But just like any business, you must first get the prospective customers trust – and this takes time.

None the less, an online internet business is an achievable goal provide one puts the time and effort, and takes action, to make money online. [http://www.guide-to-making-money-online.com]Guide to Making Money Online

Small Business Marketing: Are We There Yet?

Small business marketing is not like taking a family vacation.

Did anybody take a family vacation this summer? Do you have children of your own, or do you remember what it was like when you were a kid taking a trip somewhere?

I can still remember the family vacations as a youngster growing up. Our famous treks across America in the family station wagon or the rented RV, when the station wagon became impractical. Now with my own family we’ve taken some similar but generally smaller scale trips.

It seems like one of the most asked questions from a child – “Are we there yet?” Or the other favorite is, “How much longer?” Even families that fly to their vacation destination I’m sure can relate.

What does this have to do with marketing?

I think sometimes (maybe many times) service business owners can become like that child in regards to their marketing. Are we there yet? How much longer?

You work on a web site, or a brochure, or go to networking events and send out letters. Then you wonder when you’re going to start getting results. When does the fun start? You know, the fun — when prospects start calling and others refer and send business your way.

And much like the family vacation, continual asking of are we there yet or how much longer often leads to unplanned stops or detours. You stop to work on other things because there is so much to do and it’s sometimes hard to see how this marketing is going to work.

Marketing shouldn’t start and stop

Most people say they understand, even if their actions say differently, that marketing is an ongoing activity. Marketing isn’t like a vacation where you have a final destination and then you stop traveling because you’re there.

Unfortunately, many small businesses get frustrated or burned out when they work on their marketing. They want to know, “how long this is going to take”. Are we there yet?

And far too many times, they abandon their marketing “campaign” because it wasn’t getting them results and taking them where they wanted to go. But even worse than that, many times the “are we there yet” mentality didn’t even let them finish planning or put the idea into action.

Eventually they start planning, or maybe just take off on, another marketing trip. Once again, they start wondering how much longer it will be. Are we there yet?

Marketing needs to be an ongoing, lifelong kind of journey for your business. It takes regular and consistent effort to keep your pipeline full of good, high-quality leads and to keep moving your prospects forward until they become paying clients. That means continuously marketing even when you have clients you’re busy working with.

Keep Moving On

The question “are we there yet?” needs to become “how do we keep going?” Yes, you do need to monitor results so you can assess how well things are working to get you where you want to go. When your measurements show you that something is working, keep doing it. In fact, do more of it.

But you can also keep striving to reach new heights as well. How can you continuously improve even the things that are working to get even better, more consistent results?

If you continue to ask the question, “Are we there yet?” you might just stall out on your journey. You see, eventually you’ll discover some marketing strategies that will start to attract attention and generate the response you’ve been hoping for. It might seem like in fact, “you are there” and so you put the marketing on cruise control.

How to keep moving forward

When you find yourself asking this most asked question, consider any or all of the following ideas to keep you continuously moving forward.

Study up on marketing. There is no shortage of resources out there. You need to find them and begin consuming them. There are lots of books available on the subject. Look for the ones that offer proven, hands-on strategies and tactics. Remember, one or two good ideas now and then could make a significant difference to your business.

Form or join a “think tank” or mastermind group. Find a group of people who care just as much about your success as you do, just as you’ll care about their success. This is not a group of friends who will simply stroke your ego. Look for an honest group who will ask the tough questions and demand accountability from each other while supporting each others’ efforts.

Attend talks and workshops. If you go and participate fully, you’ll often get just as much from the other participants as you will from the session itself.

Get hands-on assistance. Working with a coach or marketing consultant who can help you focus, set goals, prioritize, create action plans and help hold you accountable could be an invaluable experience for your business.

Support from outside resources like this can help you shift from a mindset of “are we there yet” to a mindset of “how can we keep going.” They’ll help you continue to see possibilities beyond where things currently stand in your business.

Entrepreneurialism Takes A Village

Former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton once wrote a book called “It Takes A Village”. In that book Clinton indicates that every adult has some influence over the way a child ultimately views the world and how those children relate to that world.

This article is not about Clinton’s book, but rather the concept of how interrelated we are as a culture.

When it comes to entrepreneurialism on the Internet it truly does take a village for your business to succeed. This article will look at two different types of villages required for online business success.

Let’s take a look at the first village.

ASSISTANTS

These are the people that have helped you get to the place of business on the web. These individuals could be supporting parents, a spouse, former employer, former co-workers, business mentors, etc.

No one ever really gets to a destination without someone else helping them. There can be positive outcomes related to self reliance, but with entrepreneurialism a business owner begins to see clearly there is a great deal of personal debt involved in the development of a dream. Just listen to any awards show and you catch a glimpse that the one standing in the limelight is simply casting a shadow to shade those who helped them achieve success.

The second village?

INTERNET COMMUNITY

Once you understand you cannot achieve success without the influence or help of others you can begin developing a community on the web that facilitates the success of your business.

Without the development of a sense of community your business would be like building a discount store at the North Pole. Sure, you might have customers at Christmastime, but for all intents and purposes you have failed to grasp the need for community. If you make it hard for customers to find you they will stop looking. In fact, if you exist in some out of the way place on the web most people will never know to look for you.

Just as you need individuals to help shape and mold you into who you are, you also need to intentionally develop a presence on the web that will provide a welcome to others whom you may have the opportunity to influence just as they contribute to your financial success.

Whatever legacy we leave behind is always commingled with the assistance we have gained through personal relationships. The individuals who have helped us along the way are honored as we work to pass along the collective wisdom they instilled in us combined with our own personal knowledge.

Entrepreneurialism is best dedicated to the idea that each of us needs others. In business the consumer needs the business owner and the business owner needs the consumer.

No matter how you look at it, entrepreneurialism requires a village.

Five Surefire Reasons To Fail At Affiliate Marketing

While many people are successful with a Internet home business the fact is that the failure rate for most people entering affiliate marketing remains extremely high. It is often reported that only around 5% will actually succeed and the vast majority will actually loose money.

To begin with people define success different ways. One person may be happy with only earning a few hundred dollars a month to help pay bills. Others are looking for a full time income from the Internet and expect nothing less. There are also some who consider their Internet home business a hobby, working at it for more enjoyment then anything else and if they make a little money all the better.

Regardless of their income these affiliate marketers are all successful. They are achieving what they set out to do with their home business and are usually happy with their version of success. They are happy because they set a goal and made sure they worked to reach it.

For those who do not succeed they usually follow the same path of mistakes that 95% of affiliate marketers make.
So what are the failure strategies of the eight out of 10 who do not succeed?

1. They do not set up a separate website. Using the replicated website is not a good strategy for success unless you drive massive amounts of traffic to it. Many who start affiliate marketing believe that a website is not needed. They fail to realize that when they signed up as an affiliate they in all likelihood were visiting a website that looked nothing like the replicated site offered by the affiliate marketing company.

2. They do not capture names and email addresses for future follow up. This is known as building an email marketing list and is the cornerstone of success for many top affiliate marketers. If you want to ensure your failure do not build a list.

3. They jump around from one product to the next never making money on any. Because it’s free to join an affiliate program it’s tempting to think that the program is what is keeping you from succeeding.

In reality most affiliate programs offer a chance to make a sizable income. If you would focus on making money with one product before taking on another you avoid failure.

4. They never generate meaningful traffic. If you do not get enough visitors to your website you will never make any sales. Generating traffic is one of the most difficult aspects of a Internet home business and one of the most neglected. They believe that once a website is built traffic will just magically appear without any work.

5. They don’t promote themselves. People are generally leery of purchasing from the Internet and will purchase from someone the trust and are familiar with. By failing to properly promote themselves in articles, forums, and blog posts these people are setting themselves up for failure.

These were just a few of the reasons why people fail at affiliate marketing. If you truly want to succeed with a Internet home business then avoid them and you will be on the path to success.

You Don’t Need Loads Of Cash To Start A Business

How many are held back from becoming successful entrepreneurs simply because of the mistaken belief that they could never afford to start their own business? The truth of the matter is startlingly simple: you don’t need loads of cash to start a business! What you do need are the drive to get started, the enthusiasm to find artful solutions to problems that will present themselves early on, and the commitment to not let problems that others throw money at stop you from living your dream.

For example, if you want to become a dog groomer, you don’t need loads of cash to start that business. You need to know how to groom dogs. Without this skill, no amount of money will allow you to make any headway into the dog grooming market. In a very real sense, you need to become a “guru” – a person to whom others come to answers to their dog grooming questions.

Once you have found your niche and educated yourself – via classes, books, the Internet, or just personal hands-on training – it is time to figure out where to conduct your dog grooming. Normally you would need to have a lot of money to rent a shop and equip it, but since commercial real estate leases are out of this world, you will want to do without it, at least until you have earned enough money to comfortably buy or lease a space of your choice. Proving that you do not need loads of cash to start a business, consider that you can work out of the back of your van, SUV, or at the client’s home. You will own the tools of the trade, but the client will furnish the water, the bathing facilities, the electricity, and you do not even need specialized insurance!

Now that you have the what, how and where worked out, advertisement is the final major expenditure for new businesses. Fortunately, there are several cheap or free ways of getting targeted advertising without having to dip into your nest egg. Build a great relationship with those who deal with dogs every day. This includes the vet, the humane society, the pet store, and any other place dogs and dog owners will congregate. Ask to place nicely done color brochures – you can do them for next to nothing on your computer – in their offices, and in return promise you will place their names and phone numbers on your ads. Do some community events for free, such as the yearly humane society fund raisers where you can be highly visible turning little matted hounds into stylish pets anyone is eager to take home.

As you can see, from this example of a dog groomer you can quite easily extrapolate that you don’t need loads of cash to start a business, and whether you want to be a dog groomer, typist, writer, copying service, or dry cleaner, there is a way unique to any profession that will lead you to entrepreneurship on a shoestring budget – if you only have the will!

Internet Marketing – Your Internet Business Requires Best Marketing

bisnis online
It’s not all that difficult to make a few dollars each month from your online activities. Most affiliate sites pay in U.S. dollars and a quick $5 to $10 is just fine for those who live in countries where there is a high conversion rate. This can actually work out to a couple hundred or more in local currency. However, this amount really isn’t worth the time or the effort for most people. That’s why you need a plan. Here are some of the key money making tips that should be included in your strategy.

Open A Payment Account:

There’s no point to joining a whole lot of programs without giving them somewhere to send that hard earned cash, now is there? Payment differs by program but, by and large, there are a few common methods.

1. PayPal is one of the more recommended payment options and is accepted by most online merchants. While it is quite easy to access, you should note that users in some countries are not allowed to withdraw their money. If this is you, you can still accumulate your cash in your account and spend it online.

2. Moneybookers is being lauded as the European alternative to PayPal. There are a number of ways to fund your account, from credit cards to wire transfers, and they are available worldwide so there are no limitations on withdrawing your funds.

3. E-Gold has been around for a while and is still accepted by many online merchants. The downfall of this program is that, while you can easily transfer funds between users, you need to go through a third party to withdraw funds as cash. E-Gold is only recommended if you plan on using your earnings online

There are other online payment methods, such as AlertPay, but it may be worth your while to stick to the main players. Some affiliate programs will offer to pay by Check or Money Order. If you want access to your money ASAP then this may not be for you, but it’s a good option for those who prefer to see concrete evidence of their earnings. However, the associated fees might make it more profitable to look into another payment method.

Get An Email Address:

Once you sign up for any online program, you are going to start getting a lot of emails. You may be given the option of having your own Site Inbox but I would strongly suggest having your emails sent to your own mailbox. That way you can have everything conveniently in one place. Of course, you don’t want your personal email address being cluttered by endless messages. Get an address that you intend to use strictly for online earning activities.

You’ll need one which offers a huge mailbox, such as Gmail, and the ability to filter your incoming messages, such as Yahoo or Mail2World. Small accounts tend to fill up very quickly, and the last thing you want is a bounced money-making email.

Join Only As Many Quality Programs As You Can Handle:

The most common mistake you can make is joining too many programs. I understand…it’s easy to get overly excited in the beginning. You’re convinced that you can keep up, but eventually there’s just too much to do. The end result? Complete frustration and a profit of exactly $0. The key is to join only a few recommended programs.

If you’re online very often, you might want to consider a “Paid To Surf” program or two. You’ll undoubtedly have to download a mildly annoying toolbar, but you won’t have to do anything else while you surf normally. If you don’t mind a little work, you can go for a few “Paid To Read” or “Paid To Click” programs. This won’t make you the big money, but you can make enough in a month or two so that you won’t have to pay for the rest of your efforts out of your own pocket.

Construct A Spreadsheet:

How are you planning to remember each and every program that you’ve joined? The best way is to construct a spreadsheet. Include the name of the site, your user ID, your passwords (especially if you have a different one for each site), what the program involves (reading email, clicking links, etc.), the value of each action, payout levels and your referral link. It’s also a good idea to update your current earnings at the end of each month.

Re-Invest Your Earnings:

If you’ve been following the steps so far, you’ll have quite a little list of high quality programs going. You would have joined these as a free member…which is how it should be. However, once you’ve actually started earning some cash, you’ll want to put at least some of it back into your memberships. Why? Paid memberships often come with benefits, from no minimum payout levels to higher earning opportunities. Simply put, you can earn a lot more as a paid member and it’s usually quite cheap to upgrade.

Build Your Own Site With Your Own Domain Name:

Remember when I said that you should include all your referral links on your spreadsheet? Well, you’re going to need them now. Yes, you can make a decent amount from just participating in the programs you’ve joined, but the real money lies in building your downline. What does this mean? Your downline includes all the people who have joined using your referral link. You then earn a small percentage when they actively participate in the programs.

You’ll want as many people as possible joining under you and that’s why I keep emphasizing that you join only quality programs. You’ll only make money from your downline for as long as your referrals stay active, and they’ll only stay active if the program is good. But how do you get the word out? You build your own website of course, and you can do this in a number of ways.

If you have a program such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft Frontpage, or any free alternative, installed on your computer you can construct your own pages from scratch with minimal difficulty, or you can download free templates from the web and just add the content. If not, a number of hosts offer at least a basic editor that you can use online. One of the better online editors is offered by Yahoo Geocities.

Now, you may choose to go with a free host and the decision is entirely up to you, but there a few disadvantages to this approach. Firstly, most reputable free hosting companies offer packages which include extensive advertising (banners or pop-ups) that may detract from your site. Secondly, some free hosts are not reliable and you stand to lose your site when they either fold or switch to paid packages with no prior notice.

If you prefer using a free host, use a host that has been around a while and has a good reputation. We would recommend either Geocities or Tripod but you can do a simple search on Google to find one that may be more suited to your needs. Whatever you decide, a domain name is a must. You want a name that people can easily remember. If you have any experience with website design or you’re a quick learner, we would highly recommend that you purchase a domain name from a registrar who offers free hosting such as GoDaddy, download free design software (and maybe a simple template), and build your own pages. A major point to note, search engines don’t like link farms (read more in the last section).

Get Some Products:

So you’ve followed the above steps…now what? Well, if you’re satisfied with what you’ve gotten so far then you don’t have to read any further. If you want to boost your earnings significantly then you’re going to have to learn how to be a salesperson…and to be a salesperson, you’ve got to have something to sell. You can try to come up with a product of your own. For example, I could have taken this information, made it into an e-book and then charged you for the privilege of reading it.

However, it’s often easier to just sell someone else’s product and keep a share of the profits, i.e., become an affiliate. To do this though, you have to know your own capabilities. While you may be tempted to go with bigger brand names or very high-paying affiliate schemes, you must face the fact that everyone else is going to think just like you. This is where the concept of niche marketing comes in. Determine your target audience and join selected programs that would be of interest to them. For instance, if you are targeting webmasters, you would want to affiliate yourself with sites which offer domain names, hosting, software, etc.

Marketing e-books is also a good starting point. There are a number of sites that offer free e-books which you can either give away as an incentive or resell and keep all the profits. However, many of these have a minimum price at which you can sell the e-book individually and this can be quite high. Our best advice… put together a package. This will make it more attractive to potential buyers and you can be more competitive with your pricing.

You should always give your visitors as much information as possible about the programs/products you are referring them to. You will have a better chance of someone following one of your links this way rather than just having a pretty, but uninformative, banner or ad.

Promote Your Site:

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the final step of your journey into the world of online earning. All you have to do now is promote your site and you can do it without paying a cent in advertising if you so choose. How? Well:

1. Most of the bigger Search Engines will allow you to add your site to their directories for free. There are a few things you must do first though. Remember when I said that Search Engines don’t like link farms? A link farm is essentially a site that has no actual information and just a list of links. If you have a site like this, Google (and other major search engines) will very likely refuse to add you. If you’ve followed my advice and given your users enough information then you’ll be safe. Now, I want you to look up these terms online – Meta Tags, Keyword Density, and robot.txt. You need to know about these things and correct any mistakes in your site before you submit it to the Search Engines. Note that the time it takes for your site to be added to each directory varies.

2. Traffic/Hit Exchanges are one of the most popular ways to get traffic to your site. You can upload your website URL to the ‘Paid To Surf’ sites you’re a member of and assign the credits you’ve earned. Don’t bother to do this with Autosurf sites. No one actually looks at the ads on these (would you if you were given the option?). You’ll want to use Manual Surf sites so that there is at least the possibility that a visitor may be curious about your site and visit it. A variant of this is the Banner Exchange where you place a banner on your site and you earn credits each time your banner is viewed. This can bring in additional traffic but it’s not one of my preferred methods.

3. There are quite a few sites that allow you to post Classified Ads for free. Remember though that your link will go down as one of many and there may not actually be a lot of people visiting the ads site. Seriously, when was that last time you visited a free classified ads site online? You may bring in a few visitors but don’t let this be your main method of advertising.

4. There are so many E-zines out there now that it’s becoming a really cost-effective way to advertise. Ad space is often cheap and, in some cases, you may even find an e-zine owner who is willing to post your ad for free in exchange for a service or reciprocated ad space on your site.

5. Paid to Read Sites: Huh? That’s right…you heard me. You can use the same sites that you’re a member of to advertise your referral links to other members. This is especially effective if you’re advertising other paid opportunities. After all, the members are there for the same reason that you are…to make money.

Well, that’s it. I sincerely hope that you’re successful in your online earning ventures. What’s my final piece of advice? If you want to reel people in to your site, it’s always a good idea to use bait. Offer some free stuff. It can be anything, as long as it’s free….and it’s good. Don’t offer anything that you yourself wouldn’t like to have.

Making Your Video Clear And Compelling

Search through the Internet. Visit the web sites of trade show video production and marketing companies, and one message will stand out boldly. An effective trade show video must be “clear and compelling.” It’s a maxim, which is almost trite, and yet it maintains its relevancy in today’s video production market You have to “make your trade show video, trade show video display, trade show marketing video “clear and compelling,” (quote from the web site of Winmax Video, Winmax Video Production, Winmax Video Production Company . But what exactly is a clear and compelling video, and how do you make one, that might not be so clear or obvious.
Information contained in a video is clarifying if it offers supporting information to the main idea of the video. A statement is clear if it is a “clear” statement of the purpose or theme of the video. A statement contained in a video might be “compelling” if it cites an authoritative source. Clarity involves design and delivery that is distilled and too the point.
Visually, the main focus of a clear and compelling video must be “centered and clearly visible.” This can include eye captivating action shots. Big, larger than life poses of the central character, and content rich material that is visually interesting.
The inspiration of the videographer. is another ingredient, which is less tangible, but none the less important. If a video producer is creating a video about a subject he’s passionately interested in, that is likely to come through in the final result.
With all these givens; there are two additional necessary ingredients. The thought content in the video is the key to whether or not it will be “compelling.” And the thought content must be expressed through a visual media product which reflects sound production values.
In the end, every critical viewer will be asking himself, “Why am I watching this, or even listening to the sound track, and not simply reading the material in a transcript?”
The decision as to whether a video is “clear and compelling,” is going to be made based on the video’s visual effects. A compelling video has something interesting to show. A video documentary of a professor needs to show that professor in the classroom, at a conference collaborating with his colleagues, teaching students.
A clear and compelling business video must show the company product to the viewer, in a way that visually excites the viewer, at the same time that the video is presenting the clear story of the value of the product and the company.
Confucius made this interesting observation thousands of years ago. “I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, but I experience and I understand.” We learn from Confucius that a compelling video is one worth experiencing. A clear and compelling video conveys a noteworthy experience in a clear manor.
